By including options to the basic dock lift offering, safety and security at any loading dock is possible! Choose Pentalift dock lifts when specifying a new or existing construction project and refer to our sales team when considering the below options.

Extra Pneumatic Hose for ProAir

Maximum 25 feet. Additional hose on the air supply line. ProAir ONLY.

LPE Platform Mounted Power Unit Enclosure

A lightweight and compact deck mounted power unit is installed inside of a custom steel enclosure that can be installed on either side of the platform. It is available in 1HP, 3HP, and 5HP versions depending on lift speed requirements

Hinged Approach Ramp

More typically supplied on surface mounted dock lifts. It is a hinged ramp bridging access from the floor to lift platform.

Dock Lift Night Locks

This option provides a means to mechanically hold the dock lift deck at the same level as the top of the pit. This option is typically utilized in applications with a full depth pit. The four mechanical arms are manually rotated into the engaged position when required. The arms are rotated out of the engaged position when not required.

Controls – key operated control station

Control is keyed to only allow use to anyone with the key.

Controls – Wall installed push button

The control push button is mounted on the building’s interior wall within close proximity of the dock lift.

Controls – 2 second bell / buzzer signals dock lift in use

A warning buzzer or bell sounds for 2 seconds whenever the dock lift is activated to raise or lower.

Manual Lowering Valve

A manually activated valve is provided to facilitate the lowering of the lift in the event the power supply to the lift is lost.

Portable Dolly Handle –LPE Only

This is an attachment which can be placed on the portable version of the dock lift in order to move the unit. Note: The effort required to move the unit is high. The turning radius is typically large..

Smooth Platform

Checker / safety tread plate is replaced with a smooth platform deck surface with abrasive non-slip strips. Commonly used to reduce vibration during the movement of traffic across the platform.

Controls – Push button on post on platform

A post with the control push button on top of it is provided on the platform of the dock lift. This option is utilized on dock lifts on which a fork lift will be driving on and being raised or lowered.

Controls – Removable push button on post on platform

A post with the control push button on top of it on removable cord is provided on the platform of the dock lift. This option is utilized on dock lifts on which a fork lift will be driving on and being raised or lowered.

Retaining Cradle and Wear Plates – LPE Only

This option increases the end edge load rating of the dock lift while keeping it in place during loading and unloading. It provides steel tracks for the lifts leg rollers to run on. It eliminates wear and tear on the installation surface.

Pit Curb Angle

Steel angle iron with tab anchors welded along it are provided and embed into the edges of the dock lift pit. The curb angle provides a metal edge protects the pit edges from breaking away during fork lift roller overr.

Toe Sensor

A bar that is electrically interlocked, surrounds the lower perimeter of the lift's platform and electo/hydraulically arrests the downward decent of the lift when an obstruction is encountered.

Hinged Bridge – aluminum

This provides a lighter lifting requirement for the bridge.

Hinged Bridge – 2 piece

This two piece hinged bridge requires two guard rails or chain posts for attachment. It facilitates easier lifting of the bridge by splitting the weight.

Hydraulic Dock Lift Bridge Assist

This hydraulic bridge assist is installed on the top platform surface of the lip. It improves safety, ergonomics and efficiency in positioning bridges or lips of this heavy nature.

Spring Assist

This one piece hinged bridge spring assist requires one guard rail or chain post for attachment. Also available for split hined bridge.

Guard Rail Options – Additional guard rails

Additional perimeter guard rails are provided to suit the application.

Automatic Hydraulic Roll-Off-Stop

A hinged bridge that is hydraulically connected to automatically raise as the lift moves from the fully lowered position upward. The bridge raises to prevent the wheeled vehicle from accidentally rolling off the lift platform as it raises.

Electrical Options – Overhead Door kit

A limit switch and a mechanism  for activating the limit switch by the overhead door is provided. This interlock prevents the dock lift from being activated unless the door is in a sufficiently raised position.

Electrical Options – Up Travel Limit Switch

This option utilizes a limit switch that stops the units upward travel at a preset travel dimension every time

Hydraulic power unit horsepower

For any given lift, increasing the horsepower rating of the power unit increases the lifting  travel speed of the lift.

Hydraulic power unit voltage

The power supply voltages available include 115 and 220 volt single phase. 230, 460 and 600 volt 3 phase.  380 3 phase 50 hertz voltage is also available. 3 phase voltages are recommended where possible to avoid any line loss issues.

Hinged Bridge – Longer

A longer version of the hinged bridge - built to specific application requirements

Hinged Bridge – wider

A wider version of the hinged bridge -built to specific application requirements.

Lowered height

Low height refers to the dimension from the bottom of the frame to the top of the platform when the lift table is in the fully lowered position.

Capacity End / Side Edge Load

The maximum amount of single axle load (in the case of rolling loads) which can be applied to the loading edge of the platform (end or side) when the lift is in any raised position.

Capacity End / Side Axle load

The maximum amount of single axle load (in the case of rolling loads) which can be applied to the loading edge of the platform (end or side) when the lift is in any raised position.

Capacity

The maximum load (evenly distributed) that the scissor lift can accomodate and lift.

Vertical travel

The difference between the fully raised height of the lift deck and the fully lowered height of the lift .

Platform Length

The overall length of the lift platform surface.

Surface Installation

The lift is installed onto a driveway or grade.

Platform width

The overall width of the lift platform.

Installation into pre-formed pit

The lift is installed into recessed pit.
