A customer that specializes in aluminum castings contacted Pentalift with a custom design request for a combination lift table(s) with a sliding deck assembly to be used during maintenance on their aluminum casting tables.
The lift tables are installed in a stationary position and the customer’s aluminum casting tables are installed on adjacent rollaway carriages. During maintenance the casting tables are moved into position on the rollaway carriages until they are within close proximity of the lift tables.

The lift table platforms are manufactured from checker plate steel and are 78” wide x 145” long, the lift tables rise up to 66” with a lifting capacity of 1,100 lbs. at any cantilevered platform position. The platforms were designed to raise/lower only when the sliding decks were in the retracted home position and the sliding decks are capable of extending up to 37”.
A remote 460/3/60 5 HP power unit and a deck installed 4 button control station operates the lift tables raising and lowering and also operates the sliding deck extension and retraction.
The lift tables are equipped with highly visible safety yellow accordion skirts designed to enclose the internal components and minimize debris entry.
Utilizing a combination of the lift table’s variable deck height and sliding deck extension places the technicians in the optimum position to perform routine maintenance procedures on the aluminum casting tables.
