As standard Vertical Storing Dock Levelers are installed into Pentalift supplied “cast in place” steel channel(s). These channels are cast in place early in the building construction schedule. One significant benefit of the cast in place channel is that it eliminates a significant amount on site welding during installation.

When an order is received it is typically processed as a 2 part order.

The first order is for the cast in place steel channels and the on-site arrival date is coordinated with the concrete pour schedule.

This cast in place channel has provisions for the vertical storing dock levelers maintenance stand, the deck stop adjustment, the lift cylinder positioning and the tilt bars pockets, all required at the time of the final equipment install.

The second order is for the dock levelers, power units, dock bumpers etc. and is scheduled to suit the actual installation date, this is often months later near the end of the construction build cycle.

The photograph on page 2 of the brochure shows the vertical storing dock leveler as a complete assembly. https://www.pentalift.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Vertical-Brochure.pdf

The lower channel in the photo showing the maintenance stand base, the deck tilt stop base and the lift cylinder base is the section that is shipped first and cast into place.
