Some applications call for an extremely wide platform with a relatively short platform length. If you turn a conventional lift table sideways and roll the load perpendicular to the scissor legs as opposed to rolling the load parallel with the scissor legs, the edge load capacity is down rated significantly. The answer is to design a dual lift table. A dual lift table design lift combines two sets of scissor legs, two sets of cylinders and two frames and positions them side by side under a common wide platform. One hydraulic power unit with a junction block will control the raising and lowering of the common platform. Using this dual width design you can achieve a wide but relatively short lift table and still have the maximum edge load rating. Contact your Pentalift Sales Representative for additional information.
