A self-levelling pallet lift—also known as a spring-loaded pallet positioner—is an ergonomic solution designed to simplify the process of loading and unloading pallets. These lift tables automatically adjust their height as items are added or removed, helping to reduce operator fatigue, prevent strain-related injuries, and improve productivity in shipping, manufacturing, and distribution environments.
The Pentaloader – Pentalift’s Self-Levelling Pallet Lift Table
At Pentalift, our self-levelling pallet lift table is branded as the Pentaloader. This rugged and reliable piece of pallet handling equipment features a 48” x 48” square platform complete with a manual rotating top as standard. It’s designed to be stored in the fully raised position when not in use, ready for the next palletizing or de-palletizing task.

How Does the Pentaloader Work?
The Pentaloader operates using horizontally mounted, adjustable compression springs located in the lower frame. When the table is empty, these springs hold the platform in its fully raised position.
1. Palletizing Process:
• An empty pallet is placed on the raised rotating top.
• As product is added to the pallet, the increasing weight compresses the springs, and the platform lowers gradually.
• This keeps the top layer of the load at an ideal working height throughout the process, eliminating the need to bend, stretch, or reach.
• The operator can also rotate the pallet using the turntable top, allowing for safer and more efficient access to all sides.
2. Removing the Full Pallet:
• Once the pallet is fully loaded and the platform is in the lowest position, a forklift lifts the pallet clear of the corner locators.
• A new empty pallet is then placed on the raised platform, and the cycle repeats.

De-Palletizing with the Pentaloader
The Pentaloader is equally effective as a de-palletizing solution:
1. A forklift places a fully loaded pallet on the raised platform.
2. The weight of the load compresses the springs, lowering the platform to its base.
3. As the operator removes product layer by layer, the springs expand, gently raising the platform and maintaining an ideal working height throughout the unloading process.
This ergonomic design allows workers to safely and comfortably unload materials with less physical strain.
Choosing the Right Pentaloader Model
There are four available Pentaloader models, each engineered to match a specific maximum pallet weight. While all models share the same size, weight, and price, selecting the correct model ensures optimal performance across the entire working range of the spring-loaded mechanism.
