When quoting a dock leveler position on a LEED certified project, there really is only one choice; the Pentalift HDV or HUV vertical dock leveler.

With the onset of cooler months ahead of us, warehouses and other facilities like hospitals, airports and grocery stores with a loading dock should consider the cost savings of offering a complete seal when loading and unloading goods at their docks. The vertical dock allows the truck to make full contact with the building before the overhead doors are opened, allowing a tight seal between the trailer and the facility, keeping conditioned air in and bad weather out.

To compliment this energy saving product, Pentalift’s dock seals or shelters should also be considered as these will offer an even tighter seal between the loading dock and the trailer, sealing out the cold – or heat – depending on the application, and debris from blowing in.

Decreasing the operating costs of a facility through the use of energy saving products like Pentalift’s vertical storing dock and dock seals and shelters help reduce  the building’s carbon footprint and secure the bottom line.

Whether it is a new build or a company considering a retro-fit, a vertical dock leveler is almost always the best solution to energy savings and environmental sustainability.
