When a premier coach manufacturer contacted Pentalift to discuss an application for storing and retrieving primary components during the assembly of their motor homes, Pentalift’s engineering team answered.
A triple scissor lift table quickly became the obvious choice, and to address the specific applications and level of safety required for the manufacturer’s needs, Pentalift developed a model that would include a NEMA4 push button control mounted on removable guard rails.
The scissor lift would have a vertical travel of 13’ and a lowered height of 2’4” with the lifting capacity of 4,000 lbs. The unit would operate on a remote 10hp 230V/3P/60Hz TEFC on 10’ of hose. Pentalift included a toe sensor to the unit, which is an electrically interlocked perimeter bar, suspended around the entire platform, stopping any downward travel of the scissor lift table – activated when coming into contact with an obstruction.
