Higher HP Power Units All models of dock lifts are provided with an external 1 HP power unit. The most common power units are rated at 1 HP, 5 HP, 7.5 HP and 10 HP, the higher HP rated lift motor drives a higher volume output pump increasing the lift speed. (more information)
Optional Bridge Plates As standard a 60” wide x 18” long one piece bridge plate is located on the truck end of the platform. Optional bridge plates are available in lengths up to 42” long and available in widths up to 96” wide, one piece or two pieces.
Bridge Plate Assist The higher the dock lift capacity or longer and wider bridge plates increase the weight of the bridge plate. This design incorporates a spring assist, one per section of bridge plate to reduce the effort required to manually raise the bridge plate.
Toe Sensor Electric toe sensors consist of a 4 sided steel bar assembly that is suspended by chains just below the underside of the dock lift platform. As the platform lowers should any object come in contact with the 4 sided steel bar assembly and cause the bar to rise slightly the lowering of the dock lift platform stops. (more information)
Up Travel Limit Switch The purpose of the Up Travel limit switch is to stop the vertical travel of the dock lift repetitively at the exact same level upper floor elevation. (more information)
Safety Striping Full Perimeter As standard a black/yellow diagonal safety stripe decal is applied on both sides of the dock lift platform. Optional 4 sided platform perimeter black/yellow diagonal safety striping is available to improve visibility.
Continuous Operating Bell & Light Installed on the power unit a continuous operating bell and light provide a visual and audible signal that the dock lift is in operation when either the Up or Down button is depressed.
Manual Lowering Valve Installed directly on the power unit the purpose of a manual lowering valve is for authorized personnel to have the means to lower the elevated dock lift platform in the event of a power failure.
Plated Access Chains Single or double zinc plated access chains are optional on the rolling end of the dock lift platform. Access chains are permanently fixed to one guard rail and have a removable hook style connection to the opposite side guard rail.
Hinged Approach Ramp The hinged approach ramp provides access from the floor level to the lowered dock lift platform for a pallet truck, cart or a power drive pallet truck to move product on or off the lowered dock lift platform.
Platform Mounted Power Unit The power unit is installed on a structural deck extension, located on either side of the platform opposite to the platform end servicing the truck.
