Tilters are available in either hydraulic or pneumatic operation and are designed to tilt a shipping bin up to 45 degrees. The majority of tilters are installed on lift tables. A combination of both lifting and tilting the bin places the bin in an ergonomically correct position making the operator’s job easier and more efficient to load or retrieve parts from the bottom of the bin.
In an application that uses the same bin size with the same parts repetitively it is common to replace the adjustable height lift table with a less costly fixed height structural floor stand.
The structural floor stand height is variable and the height is determined at the time of order. The floor stand height is calculated to position the bottom of the tilted bin in the most ergonomically correct position for the operator to safely and comfortably reach in to load or retrieve parts.
