An application that requires lifting and positioning long loads or loads of size could benefit from the use of multiple lift tables that are synchronized while during lifting and / or lowering operations.

The primary questions to address when synchronizing lift tables are A) how many lift tables are required to be hydraulically synchronized?  B) How similar will the loads be on each lift table platform? C) How far apart will the lift tables be from each other and D) what degree of synchronization is actually required? What is dimensional deviation that is acceptable between the platforms of each lift table?

For example if the application permits a couple of inches of height variation between the individual lift table platforms the cost to synchronize will be considerably less than if the individual lift table platform height variation must be held to within ½” or less.

The operating cycle also plays an important role in designing synchronicity. For example when using a simple geared hydraulic flow divider any minor individual lift table heights will automatically resynchronize whenever the lift table platforms are all in the fully raised or fully lowered position.

It is common for synchronized lift tables to operate from a master control panel. The control panel includes both a master “lift” push button and a master “lower” push button.

In addition to a master lift and lower push button each individual lift table has its own dedicated lift and lower push button incorporated into the master control panel.

The individual lift table controls permit any individual platform height resetting that may be required throughout the operating range. During the operating cycle when all of the lift tables are in either the fully raised or all of the lift tables are in the fully lowered position the synchronization feature automatically resets.

The ability to synchronize the operation of multiple lift tables can prove to be a definite benefit to the application. It is critical to provide complete and accurate information to accommodate the most appropriate means to achieve the synchronization accuracy that is required by the application.  As well consideration should be given to the fact that that the tolerances of the lift tables platforms level synchronization has a significant impact on the overall cost. The more accuracy required the higher the costs.
