What is a velocity fuse and what is its purpose?
May 12, 2017, 10:38 am -
The purpose of a velocity fuse is to ensure safety to any operator using a hydraulic lift table, hydraulic dock lift, or a hydraulic dock leveler. The way it works is by regulating flow leaving the cylinder. If the velocity fuse senses any sort of flow that is too fast then the velocity fuse will close locking the oil in the cylinders stopping the lift from lowering. This ensures safety to the operator to minimize any risk of injury.

April 21, 2017, 4:51 pm - When a truck backs up to a loading dock, the rubber dock bumpers stop the truck and provide protection to the building foundation from the trucks impact. Steel faced dock bumpers offer the same cushioning effect but the truck bed “slides” up and down on the face of the dock bumper greatly reducing the stress on the anchor bolts. What is a Dock Leveler Free Standing Frame?
April 13, 2017, 4:46 pm - Loading docks are usually installed in a preformed pit or self-forming enclosure. On occasion, a dock leveler pit cannot be prepared due to electrical wiring, plumbing etc. under the floor slab. This restricts the ability to cut a pit. In this case, a structural frame is manufactured to match the dock height. A dock leveler, complete with dock bumpers are installed within this structural frame. .Contact a Pentalift Sales Representative for more information.
