Description |
Pentalift Hydraulic Edge of Dock Levelers are
built for a rugged service life in demanding
applications. The leveler's fully automatic,
hydraulic activation makes the leveler easy to
use and it eliminates any need for manual
activation. The dock attendant simply pushes a
button to activate the Hydraulic Edge of Dock
Leveler. A single hydraulic cylinder manages the
cycling of the unit - both the elevation of the
Edge of Dock deck platform and the extension of
its lip plate. The leveler's simple and reliable
self-contained hydraulic system ensures that the
operation of the Edge of Dock Leveler is smooth
and controlled. When in its stored position, the
deck platform and the lip plate of the unit
protect the operating components from both
damage due to trucks backing in and from the
accumulation of debris and dirt. For ease of
service, all components are easily accessible
from the dock face. The Pentalift Hydraulic Edge
of Dock Leveler is a safe and superior
alternative to a dock plate. The engineering and
design of the Pentalift Hydraulic Edge of Dock
Leveler ensure trouble-free, reliable operation
resulting in a maximum return on investment. Lip
hinge grease fittings are installed for ease of
maintenance.
When the operator depresses and holds the raise
button, the piston in the hydraulic cylinder
extends and first causes the platform of the
edge of dock to rise to its full height. The lip
plate then extends. When the operator releases
the button, the deck platform and the extended
lip plate lower until they settle into position
on the on the truck / trailer bed. Once the
truck departs, the edge of dock leveler
automatically returns to the stored position.
Pushing the raise button will also return the
hydraulic edge of dock leveler to its parked
position for door loading occasions and for
night storage.
