Pentalift bascule bridges are used in applications requiring a bridge for lift truck transport across an opening. The bridge can be raised to facilitate additional overhead clearance in the opening. An example of this would be railway tracks running within a facility. When not required for the lift truck traffic the bascule bridge is stored in the raised position allowing railcar traffic to pass. When required the bascule bridge is lowered to allow lift truck traffic to cross the opening. Based upon the span width bascule bridges are available in single leaf or double leaf design.
