Hydraulic operated lift tables are the most common, however in some applications, air powered lift tables are the best solution. One of the most common applications is paint booths where a spark from an electric motor could cause an explosion.
Another is a wash down application. A number of assembly applications have a readily available air supply to primarily operate hand tools, clamping fixtures etc. Instead of running a dedicated electrical supply to the lift table, it often can be cost justified to use an air powered lift table.
