Pentalift Equipment Corporation March 3, 2014 – Guelph, Ontario – A leading manufacturer and distributor of automotive glass products employing over 4,000 people worldwide approached Pentalift looking for a solution to their specific application.
Pentalift designed and manufactured custom upender lift tables which are used in the final stages of the manufacturing process when windshields are presented to the material handlers in the horizontal position and placed into a rack assembly. When the rack is full the windows are tilted 90 degrees into the vertical position and then removed and shipped to the auto assembly plant.
The units Pentalift provided for this automotive manufacturer have a 4,000 lb capacity rating, with a platform size of 36” x 38”. For additional safety measures the upenders were equipped with a counter balance valve and double acting cylinders.
